ARTbuilds Project - Outdoor Sculpture

ARTbuilds MinnesotaOrdway Center is currently recruiting participants for the 2009 ARTbuilds project!

Imagine, design and build with your students at this year’s Flint Hills International Children’s Festival! We invite small teams from all Minnesota middle and high schools to apply for entry in this year’s ARTbuilds project—a student-driven design program that includes conceptualization, design execution, and building implementation.

With the guidance and leadership of Armando Gutiérrez G., teams will design and build large-scale architectural sculptures out of non-perishable food containers on the Festival grounds during the 2009 Festival week.

Projects will be based on school content areas (math, architecture, history, art, design) and may be unique to one subject area or cross-curricular. All food will be donated to area food shelves upon completion of the project.
