Rooted in the cultural heritage of the Inca and their ancestors, Andes Manta performs the traditional music of the Andes mountain region of South America. Playing more than thirty-five traditional instruments and singing in both Spanish and Quechua, the first language of many Andean peoples, Andes Manta captivates audiences with the exquisite sounds of a vital civilization.
Public Performances:
Saturday, May 31, 2:30 & 4:30pm
Sunday, June 1, 10:30am & 12:30pm
The four brothers played over 25 instruments in their performance and collectively charmed the local media with their early morning appearances! Students from Keewaydin Elementary interviewed the company about their music with questions in both Spanish and English.
